There are so many NO NO’s that people do when cleaning their Jewellery. We have seen it all and sometimes it makes us want to scream. The process of cleaning Jewellery is very simple. You should clean your Jewellery professionally at least once a year and you can maintain it throughout the year too.

Professional Cleaning

A professional cleaning is required once a year at least. The Jeweller with clean the diamond so that I sparkles, he will check the claws on the diamond to ensure that it is secure and won’t be lost. He will also buff out any scratches on the gold from everyday wear and tear, ensuring your ring stays in perfect nick. If you have a white gold band, the Jeweller will go ahead and put Rhodium plating on it to protect the metal.

How do I look after my diamond between cleans?

Its actually very easy. If you want to keep you diamond sparkling the Diamond stick is the perfect solution. Diamond Cleaning at home

The big no no’s

Don’t use any machines cleaning your Jewellery. They can ruin your diamonds and can tarnish the Jewellery. Please never us a tooth brush to clean your diamond, it WILL scratch your diamond and it may cause your setting to become loose. Do not use boiling water to clean your diamond. Take your engagement ring off when washing your hands, soap scum sits under the diamond setting and makes it look dull. It is better to take it off when washing. If you see a stone is missing in your diamond ring, please take the ring OFF and bring it in, one missing stone, can cause an avalanche of diamonds falling out.
